Replace Existing Wateflow Detectors with New
Fire sprinkler waterflow detectors appear to be inoperable. Section A 17.12.2 of NFPA 72 states that waterflow devices should be field adjusted so that an alarm is initiated no more than 90 seconds after a sustained flow of 10 gpm. It appears that sprinkler activation occurs at this facility with a sustained flow less than 10 gpm.
This report identifies fire alarm system deficiencies and recommended improvements for the Acme Company facility in Anytown, United States. It further provides guidance for the installation of a new fire alarm system at the facility.
