The Society of Fire Protection Engineers (SFPE) Annual Conference and Expo is taking place this year in Long Beach, California October 12 through October 17. The event will take place at the Hilton Long Beach and Executive Meeting Center, which is located just blocks from the Port of Long Beach and the world famous Queen Mary cruise ship.
The SFPE Conference and Expo will kick-off with a Meet and Greet Reception on Sunday from 5pm to 7pm. Monday will mark the beginning of the Engineering and Technology Conference where numerous Professors and Professional Engineers in Fire Protection Engineering will present fascinating and informative topics in the Fire Protection industry. The Engineering and Technology Conference will be held on Monday and Tuesday.
The Expo will be held on Tuesday, and will be hosted by some of the biggest suppliers and producers in the fire protection industry, introducing and demonstrating the most innovative products available.
The Professional Development Seminars will be held on Wednesday through Friday. The seminars will focus heavily on Smoke Control , fire dynamics, fire modeling, risk analyses, and hydraulic modeling for fire sprinkler systems. Fire modeling and hydraulic analysis software tools are used by fire protection engineers when consulting for architects, developers, and building owners.
