” I want to take this opportunity to thank and commend you and Zari Consulting Group for the outstanding support you have provided to The AIMS Corporation in our work as Delegate Chief Building Official for the California Energy Commission on electric power generating plant projects in California. Your experience, knowledge and expertise in fire safety issues, the California Fire Code, National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) documents and requirements have been a crucial element in our compliance assurance activities since 2010.
Throughout these typically 18 to 24 month long projects, you and your team have always been responsive and reliable. Your design review comments are completed promptly, enabling us to respond to our customers within agreed response times. Your comments are well-reasoned, based on applicable codes, and reflect the good judgment and practical knowledge of seasoned fire safety professionals. Given the complexity and unique nature of power plants, that judgment and the ability to apply codes to non-building structures is very important.
Your willingness to participate in site visits and assist our observation and inspection staff is appreciated. With projects both in Northern California, and in the Los Angeles area, you have been flexible and efficient in making site visits when requested. You have consistently been available either by phone and/or email to give us advice, technical information, and recommendations whenever we requested.
Your background in local government fire service has proven valuable as we work to cooperate with local city fire officials concerned with our projects. You have also performed important research with commercial fire protection contractors and equipment suppliers on our behalf, giving us valuable insight into real-world design and operational issues. Again, thank you for your excellent service to The AIMS Corporation. We wish you and your colleagues all the best in your future endeavors, and look forward to working with you on future power plant projects. ”
